Sigmund Freud, Arthur Schnitzler and Victor Frankl once enjoyed the comforts of the Knappenhof. Hoteliere Helena Ramsbacher breathed new life into the Knappenhof and transformed the ‘once’ into a ‘now’.

Unspoilt countryside outdoors, curated fine art and timeless craftsmanship indoors: contemporary art juxtaposed with old farmhouse furniture; walls covered with fine, colourful fabrics; and antlers shining like chandeliers: you wouldn’t know it from outside, but inside, hotelier Helena Ramsbacher has transformed the Knappenhof into an alpine bird of paradise.

The Rooms

All rooms at the Knappenhof remain true to their style and have been wrapped in new fabrics for the pop-up in 2021. Exquisite design finds its way into the rooms and provides the perfect backdrop for cosy relaxation.
